Buy A Classic For Cheaper Insurance

If you fancy something a little older (a BMW or a Mercedes?) and can limit your miles to 5,000 or below, then consider getting a classic. Aside from the fact that if looked after and well maintained they can actually be an investment, classics can be brilliant fun, and not just as weekend cars. If your commute to work is short and you don't think you'll overheat in standstill traffic, consider something older and sporty.

Use a specialist broker such as Adrian Flux or Footman James and you could see insurance premium savings of 70% compared to usual insurance companies.

Just a word of warning though: classic car policies can often prohibit any kind of no claims discount build up, as they are often seen as a second car.
